I was born in 1965 in Guelph, Ontario hospital to Doris and Edgard MacDonald. Living in Hillsburgh, Ontario with 3 older sisters, now Debbie Markle of Orton, Ontario, Laurie Otto of Chelmsford, Massachuttes and Christine Tang of Brampton, until 1968. When I was just 3 years of age we made the move the Georgetown, Ontario. We settled into a 3 bedroom home on Sarah Street located near the Go Station and the cemetary. Both features have contributed to many memories growing up. It was a quiet street and used to play on the street all the time. All the kids on the street played and we called ourselves the SSG's-The Sarah Street Gang! We played nicky nicky Nine doors and kick the can and hide and go seek. Many times neighbours would call the police and we would all run and hide in the cemetary. We even dared to play hide and go seek in the cemetary and Spin the Bottle later on. We spent our days at Wigglesworth public school. I remember in Grade 2 the princpal came into our class and told us our teacher had died. I cried all the way home for lunch. When I got home my mother asked what happened why are are crying and I told her I didn't know why exactly because my teacher had died and I didnt like her anyways. She was a mean old lady and hit me many times across the knuckles with her pointer stick. However, in her memory her estate donated the repair of the church bells at the St. George's Anglican Church located right beside the Georgetown District High School. To this day every time I hear the church bells I think of my Grade 2 teacher Mrs. Smith. In the summer we swam at the Dick Licta outdoor swimming Pool and had many adventures at the Credit River. For family trips we went to Have Some Fun Park on Belwood Lake, Crystal Beach, Santa's Village, Wasaga Beach and Sauble Beach. I joined the track and field team while attending Wigglesworth Public School and continued on at Stewarttown Public School. I was very successful and won many awards including Best Female Athlete of the Year. As a young child I joined Brownies then Girl Guides, and piano lessons. Many other children where involved in Baseball and soccer and hockey. Baseball being the most popular in the Summer and Hockey in the winter. We always looked forward the the Georgetown Raider game at the Gordon Alcott arena on Saturday night and of course the hang out during March Break was the Bantam tournament. We also had many great times at the Georgetown Memorial Arena ice skating on Saturday afternoon and in the summer came roller blading followed by a walk up Guelph Street to the local hang out of McDonald's. I remember when the mall was an outdoor mall and we had Syke's donuts and Loblaws, The Greek restaurant and A&W drive up restaurant when they actually brought the food to your car. We belonged to Knox Presbyterian Church located downtown Georgetown. My favourite memories are Easter Sunday when every dressed in their new Easter dress, new shoes and white gloves. Reverand Barrow was minister there for years. He conducted my marriage ceremony and baptised both of my children. Old downtown Georgetown has seen many changes. I remember Stedman's department store, Goodlet's furniture and Fletcher's shoe store. Elizabeth Fashions has been there as long as I can remeber. My sister worked at Yong's chinese restaurant and I taught the owner Guy Tu Man brother Tai Tu Man how the speak Engligh as a second language when he moved to Canada. I still go and say hi to Lawrence. My family doctor was Doctor Richard's the Dr. Panabaker. Doctor Richard's used to make house calls to see me because I was sick alot with Asthma as a child. I attended Georgetown District High School and The went to Sheridan College. I worked at Prochem Mixing Equipment Ltd. in the Rice Business Center. Then Re/Max Blue Springs Realty Halton Corp.. I have been a school bua driver for Laidlaw, a luch room supervisor at Georget Kennedy Public School. My wish since I was about 25 was to sell real estate. I started my career in an administrative position and started selling fulltime in 2003. It has been very rewarding fullfilling not only my dream but the dream of my clients as well. I have 2 children Jarret Enman and Kate Enman. Jarret has completed 4 years at Queen's University in Kingston and Kate is attending Georgian College in Barrie and has accepted a 5 month contract with Deerhurt Resort in Huntsville. We enjoy Buce Trail hikes, Scotsdale farm, The Apple Factory pies, Chudleigh's for apple picking. My favourite restaurants are The Cellar, Royal Pizza, The Downtown market on Main and Allison's corn, Dariy Queen for ice cream, the pancake house in Norval, The Georgeview for breakfast or Ares. Bellamy's and Frank Fratere's is sadly missed.
